This quartet, from the 26-year-old jazz drummer Lucas Johnson from Herrenberg, was freshly formed five years ago at the beginnings of the new Jazzcampus Basel. Four musicians coming together from completely different cultural backgrounds, all with a common vision and ambition towards the contemporary, modern European jazz sound. Lucas Johnson's edgy and distinct compositions radiate youthful strength and energy. The band plays with risk and imagination, delivering a powerful package and message. Each individual musician is constantly evolving, allowing the band to steadily grow and refine its distinct character.
Nju:zone presented their first album in 2018 and have toured throughout Germany and Switzerland. In 2019 they were chosen as one of the cultural ambassadors of the Baden-Württemberg Jazz Association for the international trade-fair 'Jazzahead' Bremen.

Michael von der Heide is a house-hold name in Switzerland, carrying a historical reputation for his stage presence. Having represented Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest and releasing many international hits to date, he personally claims that this new album, Rio Amden Amsterdam, is his best yet.
In the sound of jazz stars like Diana Krall or Jamie Cullum, this album dances between chanson, jazz and pop. Michael von der Heide's songs do unfold their full splendor on the concert stage, as his singing shines as well as his sharp-tongued witticisms.
The Album Release Tour began in summer 2019 at the Festival Da Jazz, St. Moritz, and continues in sold-out concert halls through Switzerland.

"United by an ancient tree of the land of reggae, The Tree Brothers are eight friends from all over the world that can’t stop shaking audiences with their rhythm. They recently published the first EP of their career, combining the essence of jazz and the vibes of reggae into a pummeling sound that has rocked all over the universe."
This fun band grew its roots in Basel, founded by the Australian Rosse-brothers. The Tree Brothers' songs carry a sonic magic, instantly recognisable to anyone who has been exposed to their groovy spell.
